01/20/2018, 9:11 PMSince late last year, I've been questioning why people categorize anything data-related as "data science". Finally, I wrote an article yesterday saying we should specialize and dissolve "data science". In a perfect world, I would no longer propose talks on "Kotlin for Data Science" for the same reason nobody would propose talks on "Kotlin for Cloud Applications". Putting emphasis on cloud computing is so 2010. It's matured and become the new normal. Instead we focus on specific platforms, contexts, and types of applications.
