That Redmonk article is a perfect example of how statistics go wrong. The guy says that the Kotlin move was impressive, but that it was held back by StackOverflow, and that was, according to them, proof that people are doing it on the down low and ‘not talking much about it in public.’ Um, what is this based on? Preposterous. So if the crippled Javascript toolchain spawns constant calls for help, that means Javascript is hotter? #fail
