I agree. The promise of Hibernate is just not something you need. You have a finite number of queries in your app, and you should take care to craft each one to the best of your ability IMO. Writing a "map" describing how a certain column should be converted to a certain domain object property is not a chore, really. Type safety is an issue though, so Kotlin to the rescue 🙂
