It doesn't hurt....except when it does. And this one hurts quite often, without providing clear benefits, and I assume the all-open plugins, which are currently optional, will be suggested as best practice. And they should, because having to hack around runtime exceptions with Spring, or diving into expert features of Mockito just to mock a class, that's just pain, and it's just hard to deny that there's quite an ecosystem out there which doesn't buy (yet?) into the Kotlin mindset.
