I guess it's also a culture thing, since I'm developing business software, for me it's fine if something is 90% there and usable, I get the feeling from AMD's point of view, they follow the same principle - something that's 90% there is better than nothing at all and can always be improved later on.
The Kernel guys however wants stuff to be 110% before they allow it in the Kernel
