IntelliJ IDEA is very powerful IDE... but… what if I wants try something else?

For example Atom. I installed plugins:
https://atom.io/packages/language-kotlin and https://atom.io/packages/build-gradle
but it's very hard to use it without auto-imports.

Is there something else that can help?
Maybe someone works on tools like OmniSharp (for Kotlin).
