And I definitely get that, for its time, it was leaps and bounds above the boilerplate you'd have to write elsewhere. But that doesn't change the fact that it is still a very, very poorly constructed language, quickly outpaced and outclassed by alternatives. Much as that article says, just because good software has been made with it does not validate the language; indeed, that software was likely written in spite of the language.
