Self-taught here looking to start applying within the next 3 months. Besides some Java in the MOOC.fi courses back when I started, I've been coding in Kotlin. Recently, I came across Jetpack Compose for Desktop and was instantly hooked. I can see so much potential for it. Compose for Desktop & Compose fit exactly the type of programmer I want to become. I honestly don't want to leave my computer as I really am loving this GUI Framework. That being said, because it is still too early for release and I'm looking to become hirable soon and currently unemployed so committing all of my time to studying. Should I be putting these aside until I learn more relevant technologies that are currently being used? Will companies even bat an eye since I lack what's current/legacy? Or will they also look at my projects, notice it's in a new up and coming framework, and possibly be intrigued enough? I'm always reading to follow the path you're most passionate about and things will fall into place, but perhaps this should be postponed until I've received my first job offer?
