could anyone explain how does this compile?

inline fun <reified T : Any> argThat(noinline predicate: T.() -> Boolean) = /* omitted */

inline fun <reified T : Any> argWhere(noinline predicate: (T) -> Boolean) = argThat(predicate)

how can I call a function which takes T.() -> Boolean with a lambda of type (T) -> Boolean? Thats not the same thing!
