I guess it is not as readable as you would like because there simply are not a lot of verbs to use in these situations. I always have to think about

let

run

and

also

apply

is used often enough to be remembered. Some things just need to be remembered (e.g.

car

and

cdr

in LISP, and

amb

in reactive programming)
