🔔 IMPORTANT 🔔 Lately on StackOverflow there were several instances of down voting Kotlin questions without an apparent reason. Down voting a question is a measure to stop rude disrespectful behavior on SO, not to express your disagreement with the author. When abused, it discourages people from participating. To quote the SO guideline:
Down-voting should be reserved for extreme cases. It's not meant as a substitute for communication and editing.
Unfortunate examples: - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44444111/kotlin-infinity-loop-on-list-in-recursion - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44469756/how-to-detect-values-changed-in-data-class-kotlin As a community, I believe we can agree not to down vote simple-minded questions on StackOverflow just because you think they should have not been asked. After the Google announcement there going to be even more such question, and this is a normal thing for any popular language. P.S. This applies even more questions which are asked by obvious beginners with low SO reputation scores. Give them a break! P.P.S Also, why would you down vote a questions to

? Isn't
-3
enough? P.P.P.S. The above was only meant to be applied to questions, not answers on SO! While I personally believe there are no bad questions (only those nobody wants to deal with), there certainly are bad answers, which should be marked as such. P.P.P.PS. Let's discuss the matter in #C09222272
