@evanchooly In both cases the problem is a variable that we know shouldn’t be null, but which the typesystem can’t prove won’t be null. !!. fails loudly if our assumption is wrong, ?. fails silently - possibly resulting in a very hard-to-find bug. !!. is therefore better, although neither is desirable.
