Would you consider a canonical implementation in kotlin ? i do NOT mean re-implement but a wrapper around what all of you guys consider the best practice from all over and condense it in into the kotlin standard library. The underlying implementation can still be threetenabp, java.time, system.nanotime... or whatever (and can be changed in the future). 
Even the golang guys are seriously considering it because of the cloudflare incident. I really think it would be a well worth effort.
