I'm using Exposed, and I'm working on functionality to extract a subset of the data from my (MySQL) database and store it in a H2 database. Ideally I would do this by opening connections to the two databases and reading from one and writing to the other. Exposed uses a global TransactionManager, so I can't see how I could possibly do this. Do I want the wrong thing? Is there a better way? I admit I have never wanted two databases before, and I wonder how all the tricky ThreadLocal stuff we always use could cope with that.
