As an example, I have an executable https://github.com/sksamuel/elastic4s/blob/master/elastic4s-core/src/main/scala/com/sksamuel/elastic4s/Executable.scala#L17-L38 and each different type of executable can operate on any request. You only need a single instance of each executable. It's clean imo.
