Mostly general frustration with Gradle and the Groovy-based DSL. I was curious to see if I could use Kotlin and create a more intuitive DSL with full autocomplete from the IDE (which has never worked well for me for Gradle). Also wanted a better plug-in system. Mostly, just experimenting with stuff and trying to see if I can do better than an eight year old tool
