I don't really see any convincing evidence that it'll happen. I do think that now that they're on the OpenJDK though, they'll likely make efforts to port over new version of Java as they come out much more quickly. Like, I am fairly confident that Java 9 will be made available to us in Android in the major version following Java 9's release to the general public
