@michaelmanus: assign a shortcut to your compile, I'm using Cmd+S. Every time i finished working on a file, i hit Cmd+S and voila, that class is compiled and hot swapped. Remember, intellij autosaves, so it will be very heavy if it hotswops on every keystroke
