@thanh: I'm using guice with kotlin and have had pretty good success, and while I try to design most of my objects in as pure (ie ref transparent) a fashion as possible, our domain is a GUI desktop app that's heavy on file IO, this means its pretty tightly coupled to non-functional friendly territory. This is why I like kotlin so much, but I don't have any ambitions of going 'fully functional'.
