@stever I suspect there is a stream of Swift people coming to Kotlin who are at times unsuspecting about "the kotlin way" and write swift-ish (longer than needed) code. A kotlin-swift comparison would make sence to be in the docs. We may discuss that in #C09222272 if you (anyone) is interested
