Ah. I know there's quite a few different Java libraries that provide annotation scanning. I've used this one successfully in Kotlin https://github.com/ronmamo/reflections There's other options listed in this SO question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/259140/scanning-java-annotations-at-runtime
