Yeah, JCommander is of course much more mature and feature-rich right now. The concern I mentioned above is very specific, so it's easy to imagine that it wont be compelling for others. However, Kotlin's nullability and smart casting on val properties was the #1 reason I moved my development to Kotlin, so it was important to me to integrate with those language features. As far as I know, I can't reach the same level of null safety integration with JCommander, but I'd be happy to be wrong about that
