here is a “It would be nice if…”
People wanting to jump on Kotlin tag in StackOverflow to build reputation actually only answered things they were sure of, and can give a complete answer.
It helps the Kotlin community if answers are clear and complete. And if other’s don’t up-vote answers they are not sure are correct. Sorry if you put a lot of effort into providing answers, but I see: * incorrect answers * answers that are just odd * answers that are link-only (SO doesn’t allow this by the way) * opinions instead of concrete answers * opinions representing the Kotlin committers/community that are not their opinions (if you’ve been tracking the project over a year, maybe generalize what you think, otherwise if you don’t have a direct quote don’t guess on behalf of the team) * answers for idiomatic solutions that are obviously not idomatic. have more experience with many libraries before suggesting what is idomatic. * answers where the person knows it is wrong, says it might be wrong, then answers anyway. For now, I’ll annoy you with comments, suggested edits, and edits to your questions/answers to help out. And I’ll down vote those that are bad if they stay that way. It is boosting your reputations on SO but not boosting the reputation of Kotlin to answer sloppily.
