@orangy: @udalov The noun is String and “length" has more affinity with the physical concept of a string. I would guess that most english speakers would refer to a string’s length rather than its size. If we are using a statistical measure to help decide, it needs context. Are those appearances in the context of a programming language, fictional prose, arts and crafts, applied physics?
