@andrewoma: It is a fair point, under current conditions it’s safe. Of course it relies on the completion of the async work that is executed. If the async work stays in limbo this will of course deadlock (just like anything else). When I change the conditions, e.g. allowing to set a custom queue, I have to expect exceptions being thrown from there.
