@janvladimirmostert: sure, we are going to implement dead code elimination, but probably not this year. As a short-term solution we'll make Kotlin2JS to generate code suitable for advanced mode of google closure compiler, which supports dead code elimination. Not sure about terms, but approximately it'll be ready in Kotlin 1.1
