does anyone have any compelling reasons why a codebase would want to enforce val someView = findViewById<SomeView>() vs. val someView: SomeView = findViewById()? my colleague and i are discussing whether or not we want to make using one or the other a formal part of our code style. since they seem to have the same result, my inclination is to not have a mandate and allow mixed usage, but i’m open to reasons why we should.
