it's somewhat annoying but the time spend learning the language will be far less than android and all the libraries. It's not radically different like haskell. If you know one OOP language you know them all, basically. In fact I never officially learned Java or Kotlin. I knew C++ and just started coding, googling things I didn't know on the way.
