@paulbcon Do you mean used Intellij Idea instead Android Studio? Yes, I did and many developers who I know.
It’s mostly the same, Idea merge changes from AS same way as AS merges changes from Idea, but not instantly and sometimes some features not available (for example Espresso Test Recorder as I know not available in Idea)
