What i've been doing is

class things {
  val id: Long?,
  val items: itemslist
}

class itemslist {
  val items: MutableList<Items>
}

Then I convert it to json with a typeconverter. That is what I had to do with DBflow so that's why I haven't tried changing it yet because it would require a lot of work and I'm not sure it would work yet
