https://github.com/JetBrains/kotlin-examples/tree/master/gradle/android-dagger clone this project and go to DemoActivity.kt class. Change it to extend AppCompatActivity instead of Activity and run this command:
rm -rf ./app/build && ./gradlew clean assembleDebug

You will see DrawerLayoutImpl error, but if you update to newest support then it will throw this other error with FragmentActivity.
