You might give the wrong impression about Kotlin if you go the script route. Scripts are a nice feature, but they are certainly not meant to be used to do actual development (with dependencies, tests, etc.). Scripts are meant to be a replacement for Bash and such. Using them for a different purpose requires infrastructure that is not there (and I doubt will ever be there)
