one of my biggest peeves with IDEA is that figuring out the _precise_ detailed steps for creating and configuring projects is a nearly-infinite regress to find the right docs; and the docs span many IJ versions, so the terminology and any screen shots don't match the running tool, hence a lot of trial and error is required to get anything working.  this discourages making even little tweaks for fear of spilling the "magic", and as a result, projects are often under-configured, rough (as opposed to polished).  Big problem with what's an otherwise excellent product.
