I do.. it should crash if you didn't handle it. Java also has a huge number of RuntimeExceptions, how did you handle those before? Are you saying that 3rd party libraries always made the right choice with what is supposed to be checked and what unchecked? Because there are thousands of examples even in the standard lib where they got it wrong and it wouldn't protect you from crashes at all.
