fair. I don't think they'd want to modify core behavior like this, as it has the potential to break existing code. Maybe, as always, a compiler plugin or something would be possible. But I think they're also hesitant to provide compiler plugins so readily, which I understand. They're work to maintain, and you have to consider every edge case of how multiple compiler plugins would interact with each other
