IDEA currently has a bug with jOOQ/Kotlin (auto-suggest takes a long time) but it was marked as solved for the next version of the Kotlin plugin (1.1.3); You can instruct the code generator to create DAO objects if you appreciate helper methods for the common queries but I generally find no need.
