We should only concern ourselves with "is this a worthwhile feature that can save time, while making code more pragmatic, cleaner and maintainable", this is one of the reasons why I love Kotlin, because everything that is added to the language has gone through a lot of scrutiny and consideration. That said, anything can be abused to the nth degree.
