"Should never happen" 😄, yes but you also have people putting !! everywhere and hoping for no null pointer exceptions 😛. That's why I'm suggesting something that is a level before exception (a syntactic sugar for dealing with any null being hit inside an expression), for wrapping bad code, almost like how !! is there, but is frowned upon.
