@orangy: lack of regret only indicates that no-one on the team is dedicated to programming pure functional, nothing else. @cedric what's actually being disputed is being lazy by default. It's being disputed on a generational basis, mainly by people who are new enough to where default non-strictness chafes. Non-strictness is unavoidable and pervasive if you want to program pure. Kotlin is a couple of syntactic sugars from being a super-comfy pure-if-desired language 🙂
