Actually we don’t use Canary since it is tricky to match IJ version to be able to run JUnit 5 tests, JUnit 5 version and Spek version. We are using JUnit 4 based runner and JUnit 5 M4. Basically the same thing as described — http://spekframework.org/docs/latest/#setting-up-legacy And yeah, we set test.java.srcDirs manually.
