Lead Kotlin/Corda Engineer - Remote/London

Blockchain, or more specifically DLT, has had a significant impact across a wide range of industries. Permissioned ledgers can increase transparency, reduce timelines and optimise cost-saving for both the bottom-line of the businesses as well as the customers they service.

One industry that is yearning to be dragged into the modern age is Insurance. It's archaic roots can easily be traced back to the 1700's and for those astute historians, evidence of insurance practices date back a hell of a lot further.

So it's only right that this industry gets a makeover with modern tech. Like Gok Wan fixing a beer belly, it is time to spice up the insurance space - it's time for you to spice up your life.

Essential Requirements:
• Over 8 years’ experience as a Software Engineer.. you will be leading - make sure you know the way!
• JVM Engineering experience (Ideally Kotlin but Java experience will be looked at if you are interested to learn Kotlin)
• Spring Framework, REST APIs
• Experience developing complex microservices and architectural implications
• Experience managing Scrum teams
The icing on the cake:
• Corda (DLT) experience would get you noticed
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes to add a string to your bow
• Any JavaScript experience would be useful
This role will allow you to develop your leadership experiencing in a fast-expanding industry. What do you deduce from that?

Correct - there will be a dramatic skill shortage as companies continue to expand and leaders will be needed = fast track to the big league.

This role will be remote for now however there will be a requirement to head into London once COVID has taken a backseat. Please only enquire if you can at least provide 1 day per week in the office.
