My idea was to have a new sanity task using Kobalt's plugin architecture. One could add sanity {} sections to tasks which define assertions. E.g. the assemble task would have an assertion that checks if the build/target directory was created. Or the bintray/deploy tasks would have a section that checks if the artifacts were uploaded to Bintray.
