@cedric: looks like Gradle has started to separate out the dependency manager. This was desired from Grails and Groovy teams who have to also resolve artifacts: https://github.com/gradle/gradle/tree/master/subprojects/dependency-management … not sure the state of the “rip it out and make dependencies cleaner"
