@cedric: thanks, that's much nicer than stacktraces. my only issue now is that kobalt isn't picking up a maven dep. from a custom repository. https://gist.github.com/phroa/a37d0c9b16b4d7abf12f -- "Couldn't resolve org...". the repository URL and the package identifier(?) are copied from a working gradle project
