thx..tried that and still got that cryptic error above. Surprised Any works like that 😮
Ended up backing off to using Gson.
I'm actually surprised kotlinx.serialization doesn't work...looks it needs annotation processing which doesn't work in any Kotlin scripting tool AFAIK. Was hoping to try using it to see how well it works...
