@holgerbrandl On Linux (and Mac?), I'd recommend kscript cached jars should be inside a .cache/kscript directory -- see XDG_CACHE_HOME @ https://specifications.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/basedir-spec-latest.html. Alternatively .kscript/cache would work as well for well-configured backup systems...
