That makes sense yeah. From a user POV, I think the need is to have a JAR that provides JSR 223 support out of the box (especially if this is the recommanded API to use Kotlin Script) when added to the classpath (ScriptEngine + ScriptEngineFactory + META-INF file) without all the huge number of dependencies bring by Maven + Aether.
