@dewildte that was my initial problem. I forgot I had to do that. I am not super experienced with Android. I did make my own ids which I am using for my views. From what I found I cannot build a layout with anko and pass it to an arrayAdapter so I now have my own adapter that I build and am working on getting it to look the way I want.
