thanks, I now see the Kotlin constructs so this helps a lot, clearly a bit more verbose than TornadoFX and Groovy for that matter, but good to know this approach, I can get past my issue with the embedded aspect path, and keep moving , perhaps circle back to make things work the way I prefer, I"ll keep exploring TornadoFX but will also be cognizant of the alternative straight up Kotlin JavaFX approach
