I would also like to push towards a release version of jdk 11+ compatible tornadofx.
The app we distribute for mac needs to be notarized for mac OS 10.15 compatibility, which in turn needs a jdk that has 10.9 or higher as the sdk target. And the is no jdk 8 distribution out there that supports this.
Jdk 11 and 12 have been adjusted
